As their name suggests, recyclable abrasives are being recycled. They are used in blast cleaning cabinets, blast rooms and other installations where the material can be collected, cleaned and reused again and again.
There are two different groups of recyclable abrasives; the so-called metallic abrasives, such as steel grit, steel shot and chilled iron grit, and the non-metallic abrasives (or mineral abrasives) such as brown fused aluminium oxide, black silicon carbide, sintershot and sintergrit.
