News | Historical locomotive depot Roosendaal blast cleaned with Eurogrit

At this moment, a unique monument of the train station complex in Roosendaal, The Netherlands is being restored: the former locomotive depot. It is one of the last remaining locomotive depots from the steam era in The Netherlands and unique in its kind. The rectangular building is part of a station complex that was built between 1903 and 1907 on behalf of the "Maatschappij tot Exploitatie van Staatsspoorwegen". Part of the retoration is the gritblasting and conservation of the distinct steel lattice framework. The gritblasting is done with the expendable abrasive Eurogrit aluminium silicate abrasive (coal slag blasting grit) type A2.
